Salary: $ 120,000 to $ 130,000 CAD / year

Duties:
- Defining instrumentation requirements in collaboration with test engineers and project managers
- Designing signal conditioning, data acquisition, and sensor integration solutions
- Preparing wiring diagrams, sensor lists, and instrumentation layouts
- Supervising or performing the installation of sensors and data acquisition systems in compliance with airworthiness requirements
- Calibrating sensors and verifying system accuracy before flight
- Operating ground station and onboarding data systems during flight and ground tests
- Monitoring real-time data and ensuring accurate logging and storage
- Performing pre-flight and post-flight checks
- Diagnosing and resolving instrumentation issues during test campaigns
- Maintaining detailed records of instrumentation configurations, calibrations, and system health
- Supporting regulatory compliance by documenting processes aligned with FAA, EASA, or Transport Canada guidelines
- Ensuring all instrumentation practices meet safety standards
- Participating in hazard analysis and flight test readiness reviews
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in electrical engineering, avionics, aerospace engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years experience with aircraft systems, flight test environments, and telemetry
- Four years of on-the-job or company apprenticeship training is required
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems such as IADS
- Familiarity with environmental sensors, strain gauges, thermocouples, and pressure transducers
- Ability to work in flightline and hangar environments with strong safety awareness
- Instrumentation system availability and reliability during flight test campaigns
- Ability to travel from time to time to service company requirements
