About the Role:

The Foreman is a working manager responsible for day-to-day job site operations. Under the guidance of a Construction Manager, you will manage subcontractors, ensure the efficient use of materials, keep the site safe and organized, and use tools and equipment to assist with the project’s progress. Your leadership on-site will directly influence the success of each project by keeping everything moving smoothly and efficiently.

This role requires someone who can manage multiple tasks and people, think quickly under pressure, and maintain a high standard of job site safety and organization. From opening and securing the site to operating machinery and organizing the workflow, the Foreman is key to bringing the project vision to life.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Manage daily operations at the job site, ensuring that everything from material storage to traffic flow is handled efficiently and safely.
• Open and close the site daily, ensuring it is secure, safe, and well-protected.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, setting expectations, checking progress, and ensuring all tasks are completed to standard.
• Help get materials ordered for the project, coordinating deliveries and organizing the job site to ensure everything is ready for the next phase.
• Maintain all temporary protection and safety measures, ensuring the site is accessible, neat, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Operate machinery as needed for material handling, site preparation, and maintaining site cleanliness and order.
• Take detailed job site photos and help prepare the site for meetings and inspections.
• Handle general carpentry, demolition, and formwork as needed, using your tools and skills to assist with construction tasks.
• Ensure punch list and closeout tasks are completed efficiently, handling final touches to ensure client satisfaction.
• Read and interpret construction plans, applying your knowledge of scope and layout to guide daily site operations.
• Use tools and machinery for layout work, including lasers, levels, and stakes, and occasionally perform finish carpentry or punch list work.
