Forensic Director (Beijing/ Shanghai)

Borrelli Walsh, a Kroll Business, is a leading specialist restructuring, insolvency and forensic accounting firm with a dedicated team of over 140 professionals and staff across offices in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, India, United Kingdom, British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands. Borrelli Walsh has been involved in some of the largest and most difficult corporate collapses, litigation and expert witness cases, and financial investigations in recent years.

We are seeking an ambitious individual with the following attributes to join our firm as a Forensic Director. The role will be based in Beijing or Shanghai and will lead and develop the financial investigation practice for our Beijing and Shanghai offices, including implementation of business development activities and delivering assignments.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accountancy or Finance;
• CA/ CPA (or equivalent) qualifications;
• A minimum of 12 years’ relevant work experience in local and cross-border investigation;
• Strong network with international and local law firms, corporates, and/or other relevant clientele;
• Highly motivated with a good business sense and commercial acumen;
• Strong financial, business analytical and report writing skills; and
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate solid experience in:

• Taking lead in delivering forensic assignments relating to bribery and corruption investigations, financial misreporting, fraud and accounting irregularities and transaction disputes;
• Developing and implementing business development activities in financial investigations for our Beijing and Shanghai offices;
• Delivering exceptionally high-quality reports;
• Supervising and training members of the team, including quality control;
• Working knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative framework;
• Working in a dynamic organisation across geographies in Asia and offshore jurisdictions.
