The Role

Due to an internal role change, Coventry City Academy is excited to offer the rare opportunity to join the football club as the role of Foundation Phase Lead Coach. Overseeing the individual development and training programmes for the Under 9 to Under 12 age groups, you will have the responsibility for creating an environment that provides the suitable level of challenge for each young person within the programme, whilst also fostering a love of football within the children.

The successful candidate will be passionate about working within the Foundation phase, and have an understanding of young people within this age range. The responsibilities will also include managing the Under 11 and Under 12 age ranges through the weekly training and games programme.

Support will provided by the full time, Assistant Foundation Phase Coach, as well as a committed team of part time coaches. The role is line managed by the Academy’s Head of Coach Development, who will help develop a bespoke Development Action Plan linked to the successful candidates development needs.
