Freelance Fire Door Inspector (Self-Employed / Contract)
Location: Greater Manchester
Rate: £275–£300 per day
Start: Immediate
Duration: Large initial project with ongoing opportunities across the North West
We are currently recruiting for our client who is currently partnering on a large-scale fire safety programme and is seeking an experienced and competent self-employed Fire Door Inspector to support a high-volume inspection project in Manchester.
This is a substantial contract covering approximately 3,500 fire doors, with strong potential for further works for the right individual.
Key Details:
- Inspecting 50–60 fire doors per day
- Working hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Must be familiar with surveying programmes including OneTrace, Boris, Bolster, RiskBase etc
- Day-rate: £275–£300 (dependent on experience)
- Fortnightly payments
- Imminent start
Requirements:
- Proven experience inspecting fire doors
- Must hold appropriate fire door inspection qualifications- demonstrable by certification
- Competent using different surveying programmes OneTrace, Bolster, Boris, RiskBase etc
- Self-employed / freelance status
- Reliable, efficient, and able to work to programme deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and compliance standards
