<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Front Desk and Activations Intern serves as the primary customer service representative for the ALX Hub, supporting the Learner Experience and Recruitment teams in creating a welcoming, engaging, and well-managed hub environment. You will be the first point of contact for our learners, alumni and visitors. This role blends traditional front desk responsibilities with learner support—ensuring every learner feels welcomed, guided, and cared for throughout their journey with us.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This role is vital in maintaining communication and the interface between learners and the organisation. The intern will provide support for hub events, daily communication and nudges as well as learner led and recruitment activities within the hub, providing continuity and retention of learners across all programs</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<h2><strong>Specific Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Front Desk and Hub Operations Duties:</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Greet learners, alumni, guests, and visitors with warmth and professionalism.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Create, send and answer emails and walk-in inquiries.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage front desk operations, including sign-in registers and scheduling.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support tour and hub visits and information provision for Hub navigation.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Identify opportunities to connect visitors with relevant programs.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Conduct weekly hub walkthroughs and stock takes, reporting any issues or supply needs to Learner Experience Specialist.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support the planning and delivery of hub activities, events, and learner engagement initiatives.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Promote upcoming hub activities and recruitment events, and assist with outreach and inquiries from prospective learners.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assist learners with general queries about programs, schedules, and resources.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Provide guidance on registration, onboarding, and program processes.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Help direct learners to the right staff members or support services.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Offer encouragement and support to ensure learners feel confident and engaged.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Promote upcoming hub activities and recruitment events, and assist with outreach and managing inquiries from prospective learners.</span></li>
