Frontend Engineer

<p><strong>[About the role]<br><br></strong>We are looking for a Frontend Engineer with a strong fintech background to join our payments team and own the user-facing layer of our UPI payment experience. In this role, you will build seamless, mobile-first interfaces that handle the full spectrum of UPI flows P2P, P2M, QR, and Autopay while ensuring users feel confident and in control at every step of their payment journey. You will work with real-time payment states, design graceful failure and retry experiences, and integrate tightly with backend APIs across transactions, rewards, and wallet systems.</p> <p><strong>[Key Responsibilities]</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build seamless UPI payment experiences (P2P, P2M, QR, Autopay flows)</li> <li>Develop high-performance, responsive mobile-first interfaces</li> <li>Handle real-time payment states (pending, success, failure, retries)</li> <li>Integrate with backend APIs for transactions, rewards, and wallet systems</li> <li>Implement secure frontend practices (device binding flows, session handling)</li> <li>Optimize latency, rendering performance, and API interactions</li> <li>Ensure high reliability UX for critical payment journeys</li> <li>Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>[Required Experience]</strong></p> <ul> <li>3–6+ years frontend engineering; experience building fintech/payment interfaces is mandatory</li> <li>Experience in high-scale consumer apps</li> <li>Engineers who understand user trust in payment experiences</li> <li>Strong ownership of performance, reliability, and UX quality</li> <li>Attention to detail in edge cases and failure scenarios</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-moving, product-first environment</li> <li>Strong understanding of UPI user flows and payment UX patterns (intent flows, collect, QR, transaction state handling)</li> <li>Proficiency in React / React Native / Flutter (or similar) with JavaScript/TypeScript</li> <li>Strong focus on performance optimization, edge case handling, and graceful error states</li> <li>Secure frontend practices (token storage, session management, auth flows, and sensitive data handling)</li> <li>Ability to build trust-first payment UX: clear transaction states, failure handling with retry, user-safe confirmations</li> <li>Experience with real-time systems (webhooks, polling, sockets for live status updates)</li> <li>Exposure to wallets, rewards, or transaction history systems in consumer-facing products</li> <li>Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (building or consuming)</li> <li>Exposure to CMS-driven storefronts and dynamic layout rendering</li> </ul>
