In this vital role, you’ll conduct rigorous quality checks throughout the supply chain, maintaining exceptional standards of product quality with a keen eye for detail. Join us in delivering convenience, freshness, and outstanding service every day!</p> <h2>&nbsp;Tricks of the trade</h2> <p></p> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Inspecting fruits and vegetables:</strong> Conduct quality checks on incoming and stock fruit &amp; vegetable products, assessing freshness, defects, shelf life and compliance with Picnic specifications.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Making quality decisions:</strong> Assess whether products can be accepted, rejected or require follow-up actions, based on objective quality criteria, Picnic specifications and customer impact.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Investigating quality issues:</strong> Investigate issues related to fresh produce quality, labelling, packaging and customer complaints to understand root causes and prevent recurrence.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Collaborating with stakeholders: </strong>Work closely with Buying, Supply Chain and Operations to identify quality risks and ensure our fresh products meet customer expectations.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Ensuring compliance:</strong> Verify proper handling, food safety requirements and cold chain standards throughout the supply chain.</p> </li> </ul> <h2>We're looking for</h2> <p></p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to work independently and make consistent quality decisions in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong attention to detail and a passion for fresh fruit and vegetables.</p> </li> <li>Available for the following shifts (week days and weekends included); 06:00–15:00, 09:00–18:00 (most common), 14:30–23:30.</li> <li> <p>Good level of English; Dutch is a plus.</p> </li> <li> <p>1+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance or fresh produce operations is desired.</p> </li> <li> <p>A driving licence and access to your own car.</p> </li> <li> <p>Background related to food, agriculture, horticulture or a relevant field is a plus.</p> </li> </ul> <p></p> <h2>Picnic perks</h2> <p></p> <ul> <li> <p>€18.64 per hour including 8% holiday allowance</p> </li> <li> <p>Fixed-hours contract (36h/week)</p> </li> <li> <p>25 vacation days per year</p> </li> <li> <p>Freshly prepared lunch and dinner at the Distribution Centre</p> </li> <li>Travel allowance from €0.21 per km if you live further than 10 km from the Distribution Centre</li> <li> <p>A flexible company pension plan called "Doenpensioen" at a.s.r.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong></strong></p>
