Our portfolio of national and super-regional brands and licensed products includes Hood, Heluva Good, Lactaid, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, Planet Oat and more.</p></div><p><em><strong>We are unable to offer relocation assistance or sponsorship for this position at this time.</strong></em></p> <p><strong><u>Schedule:</u></strong> 5pm to 5am (B Crew); additional hours based on business need</p> <p><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong></p> <p>Assists with planning, coordinating and directing quality assurance program designed to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards and staying focuses on identified goals and drive results, set clear expectations for team, coach, develop and motivate team; hold employees accountable and keep team informed by ensuring effective inter and intra department communication.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Establish and maintain Quality standards and procedures for production</li> <li>Support development of a culture of proactive quality</li> <li>Oversee facility sanitation programs to meet regulatory and corporate requirements</li> <li>Support facility Quality Management Systems (QMS) programs to meet regulatory and corporate requirements</li> <li>Supervise lab technicians and maintain staff work schedule</li> <li>Obtain/Maintain certifications and/or licensing for regulatory testing</li> <li>Expedite all product testing in support of plant operations and communicate non-compliance in a timely fashion to appropriate managers for corrective action&nbsp;</li> <li>Review production-testing results and records for compliance</li> <li>Maintain food safety/food quality plans and monitor CCPs/QCPs</li> <li>File regulatory reports as needed regarding milk testing and record keeping</li> <li>Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and customer complaints</li> <li>Training new employees and restraining current employees in GMPs and procedures</li> <li>Maintain/modify/create SOPs as needed</li> <li>Maintain lab records for regulatory third-party, and internal QMS audits</li> <li>Maintain SQF practitioner status</li> <li>Support SQF by coordinating the internal audit program</li> <li>Attend safety meetings, perform safety audits and actively support the safety team</li> <li>Serves as a back-up for the QA Manager</li> <li>Apply statistical process control (SPC) methodology to data analysis to evaluate current process and process changes</li> <li>Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned</li> <li>Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE and never put yourself or other employees in harm's way</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Education and Experience</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of an associate's degree in Dairy/Food Science or another related curriculum preferred</li> <li>Minimum of 2-5 years quality assurance background in a dairy/food lab or equivalent</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Skills and Competencies</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills</li> <li>Certification and/or license - Preventive Controls Qualified individual (PCQ certification or attainment of (PCQ) within 12 months of hiring</li> <li>Mature leadership and team building skills</li> <li>Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">#LI-KW1</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">#LI-Onsite</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.</p></div><div class="title">The pay range for this position is</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$75,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$89,100 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>HP Hood is an Equal Opportunity Employer&nbsp;</p> <p>Female/Minority/Veteran/Disabled</p> <p>"VERVRAA Federal Contractor"</p> <p><a href="https://hood.com/privacy-policy" target="_blank">Privacy Policy</a></p> <p><a href="https://hood.com/-/media/Project/HoodCom/PDFs/HP-HOOD-LLC-CA-CCPA-EMPLOYEE-PRIVACY-NOTICE-DECEMBER-2025.pdf" target="_blank">CCPA</a></p> <p>For Applicants in Massachusetts - It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
