This role will work across a React + Capacitor mobile application and a modern Node.js microservices architecture, contributing to both customer-facing experiences and the systems that power them.</p> <p>The ideal candidate has experience delivering production mobile applications for both iOS and Android, building scalable backend services with TypeScript, and working within distributed systems architectures.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain a cross-platform mobile application built with React and Capacitor.</li> <li>Deliver and support production releases through both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.</li> <li>Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.</li> <li>Design and consume REST APIs for internal and external services.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable microservice-based solutions.</li> <li>Participate in system design discussions focused on reliability, performance, and maintainability.</li> <li>Contribute to asynchronous workflows and event-driven processes.</li> <li>Support database schema design, migrations, and data modeling using Prisma ORM.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues across both mobile and backend systems.</li> <li>Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of software engineering experience.</li> <li>Strong experience with TypeScript in production environments.</li> <li>Experience building applications with React 18</li> <li>Solid experience with Vite.</li> <li>Experience developing and deploying mobile applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.</li> <li>Experience with Capacitor 8.</li> <li>Strong backend development experience using Node.js 22</li> <li>Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.</li> <li>Experience working with relational databases and ORM frameworks.</li> <li>Understanding of microservice architectures and service-to-service communication patterns.</li> <li>Experience working with asynchronous processing and background jobs.</li> <li>Familiarity with GitHub and modern development workflows.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Prisma ORM.</li> <li>Experience working within CQRS architectures.</li> <li>Familiarity with Transactional Outbox patterns and event-driven systems.</li> <li>Experience supporting distributed systems in production environments.</li> <li>Experience with AWS Lambda or similar serverless technologies.</li> <li>Experience developing custom Capacitor plugins.</li> <li>Experience working with reporting, analytics, or projection-based data architectures.</li> </ul>
