The Senior Fund Accountant will work closely with StepStone Private Wealth Fund Accounting and StepStone Group Monitoring and Reporting teams.</p> <p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p> <p>This hands-on, detail-oriented position will:</p> <ul> <li>Track daily investment activity, including funding investments and overseeing investment related expenses</li> <li>Managing investment portfolio forecasts, GAAP, accruals and comparison to actuals</li> <li>Provide assistance with updates to portfolio management data (SPI) based on daily reconciliations</li> <li>Assist in the preparation of monthly Valuation Committee materials</li> <li>Oversee communications with deal teams regarding investment valuations and GP updates</li> <li>Complete operational due diligence on each GP/investment</li> <li>Assist in the preparation and sign-off of net asset values</li> <li>Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation for the annual financial statement audit</li> <li>Support the accounting team in the closing of transactions, including responding to information requests, review of allocations, review of reporting requirements and other support and analysis as needed</li> <li>Track daily cash activity, including prompting administrator wires and overseeing invoice/expense payments</li> <li>Managing fund forecasts and comparing to actuals</li> <li>Reconcile foreign exchange hedge positions for accuracy, timely break resolution, and compliance with fund accounting policies</li> <li>Support various fund administrators and coordinate delivery of required reporting, etc.</li> <li>Respond to sub-adviser and team member requests in a professional and timely manner</li> <li>Assist with daily work associated with accounting and reporting functions</li> <li>Assist with preparation of company dashboards and board decks</li> <li>Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must possess a four-year college degree with a major in Accounting</li> <li>Three to five years of accounting or audit experience</li> <li>Previous experience with Investment Company Accounting and ASC 820 (FAS 157) preferred</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Strong Microsoft Excel experience</li> <li>Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI leveraging data feeds from third-party administrators, with the ability to enhance, streamline, and automate reporting processes using tools such as Workiva and Alteryx</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and manage priorities against key deadlines</li> <li>Must be able to work independently, but contribute in a team-oriented environment</li> <li>CPA preferred</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span class="ui-provider ed bwx bhr bwy bwz bxa bxb bxc bxd bxe bxf bxg bxh bxi bxj bxk bxl bxm bxn bxo bxp bxq bxr bxs bxt bxu bxv bxw bxx bxy bxz bya byb byc byd">#LI-Hybrid</span></p><div class="content-conclusion"><div class="ng-scope"> <p class="question thick ng-binding ng-scope section2LeftfieldsInJobDetails jobDetailTextArea">&nbsp;</p> <p><em>At StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success. &nbsp;We are an Equal Opportunity Employer that strives to create an environment that empowers our employees and allows them to be heard, regardless of title or tenure.&nbsp; Our organizational community features multiple Employment Resource Groups as well as mentorship programs to enhance the employee experience for all.&nbsp;&nbsp;</em></p> <p><em>As an Equal Opportunity Employer, StepStone does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.</em></p> <p><em><span data-teams="true">Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply.</span></em></p> </div> <div class="ng-scope"> <p><a href="https://www.stepstonegroup.com/news-insights/rpm-ep-18-nitin-malik-developing-your-people/">Developing People at StepStone</a></p> <p class="answer ng-scope section2LeftfieldsInJobDetails jobDetailTextArea">&nbsp;</p> </div></div>
