Role Mission
The Futures Researcher is a research-focused role dedicated exclusively to futures prop trading markets.
In this role, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and structure of futures prop firm data, while continuously producing high-quality research and insights that support traders and internal teams. You will track developments across the futures prop trading ecosystem, monitor firm changes, and translate market and industry activity into clear, actionable intelligence.
Success in this role means owning the integrity of research outputs end-to-end — ensuring data is consistently accurate, firm updates are reflected in real time, and insights are delivered in a way that helps traders understand the futures prop trading landscape with clarity and confidence. Your work directly supports platform content, product decisions, and strategic direction.

1. Ensure accuracy of firm data and platform content
Maintain a high standard of accuracy and consistency across all proprietary trading firm data and public-facing platform content.
Key outcomes:
▸  Maintain accurate and up-to-date data across internal databases and the platform
▸  Identify and correct outdated, missing, or inconsistent firm information
▸  Track updates across futures prop firms and reflect changes in systems
▸  Conduct regular audits of firm profiles and structured research data
▸  Ensure internal documentation and trackers remain reliable and well-organized

2. Deliver consistent research on futures prop firms
Conduct ongoing research across futures prop trading firms and maintain structured, high-quality insights.
Key outcomes:
▸  Research and profile futures prop trading firms globally
▸  Track industry changes, firm updates, and new market entrants
▸  Maintain structured and well-documented firm research
▸  Deliver clear summaries and comparative insights for internal use
▸  Build strong domain expertise in futures prop trading models and evaluation systems

3. Produce clear market insights and research-driven content
Translate futures market and prop firm developments into structured, actionable insights for traders and internal stakeholders.
Key outcomes:
▸  Monitor futures market developments (macro + micro drivers affecting trader behavior)
▸  Deliver 2–3 structured research briefs per month
▸  Produce weekly or recurring market commentary when required
▸  Contribute insights for educational and analytical content
▸  Simplify complex futures market information into clear, trader-friendly narratives

4. Collaborate across teams to improve research and content quality
Work closely with product, content, and marketing teams to ensure research outputs directly support platform needs.
Key outcomes:

▸ Identify workflow gaps and propose improvements
▸ Contribute to structured research processes and documentation systems

Qualifications
▸  3+ years of experience in research, market analysis, financial analysis, or a similar analytical role
▸  Strong understanding of financial markets, with a focus on futures instruments
▸  Familiarity with proprietary trading firms and their evaluation/challenge models
▸  Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
▸  Excellent written communication with the ability to simplify complex topics
▸  Experience with research tools, spreadsheets, or data management systems
▸  Comfortable working in a remote, cross-functional environment
▸  Fluent English (written and spoken)
▸  High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset

Success Indicators
▸  Regular delivery of 2–3 insightful research briefs per month
▸  Weekly publication of content that meets engagement goals
▸  Demonstrated alignment with product and content teams’ needs
▸  Positive feedback on clarity and usability of insights
▸  Contributions to increased platform visibility and reputation (e.g., mentions, shares, search performance).

Hiring Process

1. Application screening
We carefully review all applications to identify candidates whose research experience, analytical thinking, and familiarity with financial markets best match the role’s performance objectives, while ensuring a timely and transparent update on your application.
2. Video Self-Introduction
A short asynchronous video where you introduce yourself, share your background, and briefly explain your experience with financial markets, research, or the prop trading industry. This helps us understand your communication style, professional motivation, and fit for remote, ownership-driven work.
3. Discovery Interview with HR Team
Shortlisted candidates will join a conversation with Lilit Y., our HR Generalist,  focused on your professional background, research experience, analytical approach, and alignment with Prop Firm Match Global FZCO’s culture and values, while also giving you a clear overview of the company, role expectations, and the opportunity to share your goals and ask questions.
4. Research Task
You’ll complete a short, role-relevant research task based on real Prop Firm Match scenarios, with clear instructions and expectations. This gives you insight into the type of research work you would perform while allowing us to evaluate your analytical thinking, structure, and attention to detail, followed by structured feedback on your submission.
5. Interview with Hiring Manager
At this stage, you will join a conversation with Abdulazeez A., our Lead of Research,  the hiring manager focused on your research methodology, futures market expertise, and ability to analyze proprietary trading firms, while also giving you visibility into how research supports our platform, content, and strategic initiatives in a collaborative, two-way exchange.
6. Functional Interview
A broader professional conversation with a senior team member, focused on research methodology, analytical thinking, market understanding, communication of findings, and how the candidate approaches complex research problems.
7. Peer & values conversation
A conversation with a peer from across the team focused on values, culture, and how you work best. You'll have plenty of space to ask questions and get a real feel for life at PFM.
