Position Overview:

The Gamification Specialist will design, implement, and continuously optimize gamification mechanics that increase player engagement, retention, and revenue across casino and/or sportsbook. The role sits at the intersection of product, CRM, and operations, turning business goals into measurable, player-facing experiences (missions, levels, tournaments, loyalty, challenges, streaks, reward loops).

Responsibilities within the team:

Gamification strategy & design

  • Own the gamification roadmap aligned with key business KPIs (Retention, ARPU, frequency, churn reduction)

  • Design mechanics such as missions/quests, daily challenges, streaks, levels, badges, leaderboards, tournaments, seasonal events, loyalty/reward loops, and personalized offers

  • Audit current reward structures (bonuses, free spins, cashback, points, missions etc) balancing engagement impact with cost and risk. Calculate bonus costs and ensure profitability

Execution & operations

  • Configure and launch gamification campaigns/events within internal tools and/or third-party platforms

  • Coordinate end-to-end delivery with Product, CRM, BI, Risk/Fraud, Customer Support, and Legal/Compliance

  • Maintain campaign calendars and ensure flawless execution (rules, segmentation, translations, QA, launch checks)

Data-driven optimization

  • Monitor performance daily/weekly and run structured iterations (A/B tests, cohort analysis, funnel analysis)

  • Track and report impact on KPIs: DAU/MAU, retention (D1/D7/D30), reactivation, conversion, GGR uplift, bonus cost, RTP impact, engagement per segment

  • Build clear post-campaign reports with insights and next actions

Player segmentation & personalization

  • Create and maintain segmentation logic (VIP tiers, high-potential, reactivation, recreational vs. value players)

  • Partner with CRM to align gamification experiences with lifecycle journeys (onboarding, early activation, retention, winback)

Governance & compliance

  • Ensure all mechanics comply with local regulations and responsible gaming principles

  • Work with Risk/Fraud to prevent bonus abuse and maintain healthy margin

Facing the challenges of the role requires:

  • Relevant experience in gamification, CRM, retention, product operations, or lifecycle marketing within iGaming, gaming, fintech, or subscription apps (iGaming experience strongly preferred)

  • Strong understanding of player psychology and reward loops (progression, scarcity, competition, achievement)

  • Solid analytical skills; confident working with dashboards and data (Excel/Sheets required; BI tools a plus)

  • High attention to detail (campaign rules, edge cases, QA)

  • Hands-on experience with gamification/CRM platforms (e.g., Optimove, Fast Track, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Smartico, Pragmatic Solutions CRM, or similar)

Nice to have

  • SQL basics, A/B testing frameworks, or experimentation tools

  • Experience working with both casino and sportsbook mechanics

  • Understanding of bonus economics (cost models, expected value, RTP considerations)
