About the role
A Holmes Lumber (a division of Carter Lumber) Garage Door Installer will assist in installing new overhead doors & operators, removing overhead doors & operators for replacement, and assist in installing rolling doors and dock equipment. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.
- Previous garage door installation experience required
- Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
- Possesses the ability to work under time constraints
- Possess strong math skills
- Ability to follow directions both written and verbal
- Ability to problem solve
- Installation
- Replaces or installs garage doors using the appropriate tools.
- Analyzes jobsite, assists in running wires, assembling openers, cutting angles, and installing seals.
- Supports a safe work environment.
- Customer Service
- Ensures that customers are treated with the utmost respect and given the highest quality of workmanship.
- Knowledge & Training
- Responsible for acquiring the training needed to install garage doors safely and efficiently.
- Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being installed to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
