By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.</span></strong></p></div><p>We are seeking a skilled and experienced GA Process Engineering Manager to lead the General Assembly process engineering team through new product introductions and manufacturing operations readiness. This role is critical to ensure proper process and product validation, successful handover from Manufacturing Engineering to Production, and implementation of robust process controls. The ideal candidate will lead a team responsible for achieving production KPIs, ensuring process capability, and driving continuous improvement across the GA shop.</p>
<h1>You Will</h1>
<ol>
<li><strong> Process Handover and Validation</strong></li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Manage the successful transition of manufacturing processes from the Manufacturing Engineering team to manufacturing operations.</li>
<li>Oversee the execution of process and product validation plans, including trial builds, line capability assessments, and quality assurance gates.</li>
<li>Ensure all required documentation (control plans, work instructions, process parameters) is in place for handover readiness.</li>
<li>Coordinate build audits, fit & finish reviews, and end-of-line testing to verify process stability.</li>
</ul>

<li><strong> Team Leadership and Resource Management</strong></li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Lead and mentor a team of GA Process Engineers, Technicians, and Specialists.</li>
<li>Define priorities and allocate resources across shifts and launch phases.</li>
<li>Support development plans for engineering team members to build internal capability and technical depth.</li>
</ul>
<ol>
<li><strong> Process Engineering Excellence</strong></li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Ensure robust process design, including ergonomic reviews, torque studies, fastener validations, and safety compliance.</li>
<li>Lead the implementation of process control systems, visual management, and error-proofing strategies.</li>
<li>Own and update GA process documentation including PFMEAs, Control Plans, Standard Work, and Process Flow Diagrams.</li>
</ul>
<ol>
<li><strong> Quality and Performance KPIs</strong></li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Monitor and drive improvement in process-related to GA KPIs.</li>
<li>Partner with the Quality team to resolve systemic quality issues and prevent recurrence.</li>
<li>Support launch ramp-up and ongoing production by ensuring process stability and capability.</li>
</ul>
<ol>
<li><strong> Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement</strong></li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Lead root cause investigations for GA process failures using structured problem-solving tools (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D).</li>
<li>Facilitate cross-functional workshops to improve process robustness and reduce variation.</li>
<li>Drive CI initiatives through Kaizen events, process benchmarking, and lessons learned implementation.</li>
</ul>
<ol>
<li><strong> Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with Product Engineering, ME, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure process compatibility with design intent and plant layout.</li>
<li>Participate in launch readiness reviews and gate sign-offs with the Plant Launch Team.</li>
<li>Provide GA process input for new vehicle programs during design-for-manufacturing (DFM) reviews.</li>
</ul>
<h1>You Bring</h1>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation and 5 years of professional experience.</li>
<li>Minimum 8–10 years of experience in automotive GA process engineering or production leadership roles.</li>
<li>Proven experience with GA process validation, equipment handover, and launching new vehicle models.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of torque management, GA technologies, kitting/material presentation, and end-of-line systems.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Layered Process Audits, and problem-solving tools.</li>
<li>Proficiency in manufacturing software systems (MES, Torque Traceability, BI, CAD).</li>
<li>Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Flexibility to support off-shift and weekend activities during launch and ramp-up phases.</li>
