General Ledger (GL) SME | Federal Financial Management

We are seeking a&nbsp;<strong>General Ledger (GL) SME</strong> to support, a large-scale modernization effort to implement a standardized, cloud-based Core Financial System. This role will serve as the functional lead for all GL-related processes, ensuring compliance with <strong>USSGL, Treasury Financial Manual (TFM), and federal reporting standards</strong>, while supporting financial consolidation, reporting, and audit readiness across multiple agencies.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>GL Functional Design &amp; Configuration</p> <ul> <li>Lead design and configuration of <strong>Chart of Accounts (COA)</strong> aligned with USSGL</li> <li>Define journal entry processes (manual, automated, recurring)</li> <li>Configure ledger structures (multi-entity, multi-fund)</li> <li>Establish accounting rules for accruals, allocations, and eliminations</li> </ul> <p>Financial Close &amp; Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Design and optimize <strong>period-end and year-end close processes</strong></li> <li>Support trial balance validation and financial statement generation</li> <li>Ensure compliance with <strong>Treasury reporting requirements (GTAS, FACTS II)</strong></li> </ul> <p>Data Migration &amp; Reconciliation</p> <ul> <li>Define GL data mapping and opening balance strategies</li> <li>Validate migrated balances and historical data integrity</li> <li>Lead reconciliation between legacy systems and OneFM</li> </ul> <p>Integration &amp; Testing</p> <ul> <li>Support Subledger-to-GL integrations (AP, AR, Budget)</li> <li>Lead GL testing scenarios (SIT/UAT) and validate end-to-end accounting flows</li> <li>Support go-live readiness and post-implementation activities</li> </ul> <p>Compliance &amp; Audit Support</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with USSGL, OMB A-136, and federal reporting standards</li> <li>Support audit readiness, remediation, and internal controls (A-123)</li> </ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of federal financial management experience</li> <li>Deep expertise in <strong>General Ledger accounting and federal reporting</strong></li> <li>Strong knowledge of USSGL and Treasury Financial Manual (TFM)</li> <li>Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Workday)</li> <li>Experience supporting financial close and reconciliation</li> </ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>CPA or CGFM</li> <li>Experience supporting Treasury, BFS, or CFO Act agencies</li> </ul> <p data-section-id="f6wbtj" data-start="3287" data-end="3330"><strong data-start="3291" data-end="3330">Security &amp; Eligibility Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust (suitability) clearance</li> <li data-start="3420" data-end="3477">Must be able to pass a federal background investigation</li> <li data-start="3480" data-end="3562">U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (no visa sponsorship available)</li> </ul> <h4 data-section-id="f6wbtj" data-start="3287" data-end="3330"><strong data-start="3291" data-end="3330">Benefits</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Holidays - Eleven&nbsp;</li> <li>Retirement Plan (401k) Matching</li> <li>Short-Term &amp; Long-Term Disability</li> <li>Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary &amp; AD&amp;D)</li> <li>Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental &amp; Vision)</li> <li>Paid Time Off (0-3 years - 15 Days PTO | 3+ years 20 Days)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer Minority/Female/Veteran/Disability</strong><br>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or status within any other protected group.<br><strong>Only direct applicants will be considered.
