General Production Worker

Key Responsibilities

• Cleans packaging containers.
• Lines and pads crate and assemble cartons.
• Obtains and sorts product.
• Wraps protective material around product.
• Starts, stops and regulates speed of conveyor.
• Inserts or pours product into containers or fills containers from spout or chute.
• Weighs containers and adjusts quantity. 
• Nails, glues or closes and seals containers.
• Labels containers, container tags or products. 
• Sorts bundles or fills containers.
• Packs special arrangements or selection of product.
• Inspects material, products and containers at each step of packaging process.
• Records information such as weight, time and date packaged.
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials or products.
• Performs computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 
• Prior machine operation experience in a manufacturing or foam fabrication environment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine functions.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and blueprints.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions, safety rules, and machine settings in English.
• Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) is a plus for effective communication on a diverse team.
