The Role:

  • Inspire and Engage: Deliver engaging and differentiated Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a deep understanding of geographical concepts, processes, and issues.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the planning and delivery of a stimulating Geography curriculum that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and global awareness.
  • Fieldwork Expertise: Lead and organize fieldwork activities, providing students with hands-on experience and opportunities to apply their geographical knowledge in real-world settings.
  • Pastoral Involvement: Play an active role in the pastoral care of students, supporting their well-being and academic progress.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Teacher: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine passion for Geography education.
  • Subject Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of physical and human geography, with knowledge of current geographical issues and debates.
  • Engaging Educator: Employ innovative teaching methods to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Work effectively within a team and contribute to the overall success of the Humanities department.
