Job Opportunity: Senior GIS Specialist
Location: Brussels, Belgium
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join the ICT department at our client, contributing to GIS system development and geodata integration. You will work within the GIS competence center, collaborating closely with development and cloud teams to optimize GIS APIs for applications and e-portals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GIS systems.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging efficiently.
- Take a leading role in Agile development methodologies.
- Work with geocoding, vector/raster formats, and database queries.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL standards.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate ArcGIS web services and Geocortex workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years in Geocortex and workflow development.
- Strong GIS knowledge and ArcGIS web development experience.
- Expertise in ArcGIS Server installation/configuration (Windows).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python scripting, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with SOA, REST, GitHub, and Jira.
- Fluent in Dutch (CEFR - Level C2).
