GL Staff Accountant

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a general ledger accountant to join our team. The GL accountant will perform accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments. You will be conducting audits on the accuracy of our financial information, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to regulations, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

To ensure success as a GL accountant, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of best practices in general ledger accounting and experience in a similar role. A top GL accountant will be someone whose accounting expertise results in accurate financial planning and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will shine in your ability to help lead the team and willingness to assist when the need arises.

Duties include:

• Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger

• Data entry as needed, bank wire processing, etc.

• Generating reports and reviewing all financial documents for accuracy.

• Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations

• Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards

• Month-end closing and reconciling accounts; generating financial packet.

• Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support

• Implementing and maintaining internal controls, best practices, and training tools

• Supervising and guiding our accounting team in Mexico
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure proper event reconciliation

• Supporting the Auditor, Controller and other financial professionals in their duties, as needed

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 3+ years of general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end close experience
• Thorough knowledge of AP/AR, and revenue/expense recognition
• Quickbooks expert and multi-company consolidation experience
• Speak and understand Spanish
• 3+ years of supervisory and proven leadership

Preferred Skills

• Event reconciliation experience
• BS is Accounting
