About the role

<p><strong>Realm’s next phase of growth comes from expanding into new verticals that materially accelerate acquisition and monetization. We’re hiring Vertical GMs to stand up and scale these businesses — acting as full owners from zero to scale.</strong></p> <p>This role is for a <strong>full-stack operator</strong> who owns everything required to build a new line of business: business development, deal structuring, implementation, operational design, and automation. You will take an emerging vertical from first deal to repeatable motion, then systematize and scale it inside Realm’s platform.</p> <p>This is not a strategy role and not a handoff-heavy partnerships role. You <strong>own outcomes</strong> — revenue, unit economics, and scalability.</p> <p>This role <strong>will report directly to the CEO or VP of Operations</strong>, sits on Realm’s leadership team, and carries real accountability for building a durable, profitable growth engine.</p> <p>This is a full-time, Los Angeles-based hybrid role (3–4 days in office).</p> <h3><strong>The Job to Be Done</strong></h3> <p>Your mandate is to <strong>build a new vertical into a scalable, repeatable revenue business</strong> that materially accelerates Realm’s growth.</p> <p>This includes:</p> <ul> <li>Taking a vertical from zero → first revenue → repeatable motion<br><br></li> <li>Designing the acquisition and monetization strategy for the vertical<br><br></li> <li>Standing up the operating model (people, process, tooling)<br><br></li> <li>Automating aggressively to avoid bespoke, service-heavy workflows<br><br></li> <li>Scaling without linear increases in headcount or complexity<br><br></li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <p><strong>Act as GM and Owner</strong></p> <ul> <li>Own strategy, execution, and results for an emerging vertical.<br><br></li> <li>Be accountable for revenue, unit economics, and operational performance.<br><br></li> <li>Make build vs. buy vs. automate decisions with speed and judgment.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Drive Business Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Identify, evaluate, and close anchor partners or distribution channels.<br><br></li> <li>Structure partnerships that align incentives and scale.<br><br></li> <li>Turn early deals into durable, repeatable GTM motions.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Stand Up the Operating Model</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and launch end-to-end workflows across sales, advisory, operations, and product.<br><br></li> <li>Lead pilots, learn fast, and formalize what works.<br><br></li> <li>Eliminate manual work and one-off processes as early as possible.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Scale Through Systems and AI</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with Product, Data, and Engineering to automate workflows and integrations.<br><br></li> <li>Use AI to scale judgment, consistency, and throughput.<br><br></li> <li>Translate real-world execution into productized, platform-level capabilities.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Be the Connector</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as the connective tissue between external partners and internal teams.<br><br></li> <li>Translate vertical-specific needs into scalable platform features.<br><br></li> <li>Feed learnings back into Realm’s core GTM and product strategy.<br><br></li> </ul> <h3><strong>What You’ll Need</strong></h3> <ul> <li>5-10 years of experience in business development, operations, consulting, marketplaces, or early-stage startups.<br><br></li> <li>Proven experience launching or scaling a new business line, vertical, or revenue channel.<br><br></li> <li>Comfort owning ambiguous, cross-functional problems with real financial stakes.<br><br></li> <li>Strong operator instincts — you ship, iterate, and fix.<br><br></li> <li>Fluency in data, unit economics, and funnel mechanics.<br><br></li> <li>High comfort using AI and automation as leverage, not novelty.<br><br></li> <li>Clear, confident communicator with strong judgment.<br><br></li> <li>Based in or willing to be in Los Angeles regularly.<br><br></li> </ul> <h3><strong>Summary / Domain Fit</strong></h3> <p><strong>This role is ideal for operators with experience or deep exposure to construction, real estate, or fintech — especially those who have built or scaled businesses in complex, regulated, or operationally messy industries.</strong></p> <h3><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Step into a profitable, growing business in a true whitespace category with no direct incumbent and no comparable end-to-end competitor.</li> <li>Build and own a new business from the ground up — with real authority.<br><br></li> <li>Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on company-defining bets.<br><br></li> <li>Competitive compensation and meaningful equity.<br><br></li> <li>A high-bar, execution-driven team that values ownership over optics.<br><br></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
