Position Title: Grammar Homeroom Aid

Reports To: Grammar Lead

Employment Status: Part-time (hourly)

Summary:
The person in this support role will assist Homeroom teachers in delivering instruction and guiding daily routines, while reinforcing learning with individual students and small groups. This role will contribute to the preparation of classroom materials, the supervision of students in a variety of settings, and the maintenance of a safe and orderly learning environment.

• Have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing, personal relationship with Him. 
• Be a member of a local church and wholeheartedly embrace the doctrine of Doxa Church. 
• This person must be humble, loyal, trustworthy, capable, flexible, detail-oriented, able to hold confidence and have a servant’s heart.  In addition, this individual must be able to comprehend and implement the vision and initiatives of Eden Classical Academy and possess excellent clerical, organizational, and computer skills with good interpersonal competencies. 
  

Experience or Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Prior experience working with young children in a classroom, childcare, or related setting.
  Basic understanding of child development and early learning practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, teachers, and parents.
• Ability to follow teacher direction and support classroom management.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:    

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instruction, activities, and routines.
• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce lessons.
• Help prepare and organize classroom materials, supplies, and learning centers.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions.
• Provide support in managing classroom behavior, modeling respectful and kind interactions.
• Assist with record-keeping, attendance, and documentation as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment.
• Communicate positively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Uphold the school’s mission, values, and policies.
