Graphics Design and Social Media Intern

Reports to: Digital Marketing & Communication Lead 

Purpose of the role 

We are looking for a creative and dynamic Social Media & Graphics Design Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for digital content creation, a keen eye for design, and the ability to engage audiences through visual storytelling.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Must have knowledge of graphics design to create visually appealing graphics for communications tools such as social media, marketing materials, and digital campaigns.
• Create and edit engaging social media content, including images, videos, and infographics.
• Manage and update company social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
• Assist in developing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create content calendars and schedules.
• Stay up-to-date with design trends, social media trends, and best practices.
• Ensure brand consistency across all digital content.
• Assist in basic video editing and motion graphics when needed.

Requirements:

• Barchelors Degree or Diploma in graphic design, computer science or any related field.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar software.
• Basic knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
• Excellent creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A portfolio showcasing previous graphic design work is an added advantage
