Renewables Certification (RC) belongs to business area Energy Systems (ES) with more than 5000 people globally. RC has the global responsibility for Type Certification (TC), Component Certification (CC) and Project Certification (PC) for Renewables within ES. Currently RC consists of 280+ experts with locations for example in Beijing, Boston, Copenhagen, Dresden, Esbjerg, Hamburg, Høvik, London, Busan, Shanghai and Taipei.
RC is the global market leader in the Renewables Certification market and is involved in 80% of Project Certification for offshore wind parks including offshore substations in the world.
We are currently looking for a dedicated Electrical Project Engineer who will be part of our Grid Code Compliance-team located in Hamburg. Our team is dealing with certification processes mainly for the renewable energy industry. We are active at least in the areas of wind, solar, biomass, hydro and storage. In the role of the Project engineer you will have the following main tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the technical process of electrical grid code compliance certification in accordance with (inter)national specifications and standards
- Software-supported modelling, examination and validation (including DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MathWorks MATLAB)
- Technical and professional analysis, independent assessment and evaluation of test results of electrical components, generation units and plants, certification to prove grid code compliance
- Tasks in the area of (further) development of technical guidelines, automated/digital solutions, support of tests and measurements, customer care as well as project management
- Development of new services and acquisition of new markets and customer areas
