Group Legal Adviser

The Job:

 

We are looking for a senior corporate / M&A lawyer to join our Corporate Team.  This role provides an excellent opportunity for a senior transactional lawyer to join a well-established legal team primarily responsible for all Group corporate mattes including, amongst others, M&A, equity and debt financing, corporate compliance other corporate initiatives.

 

 

The successful candidate:

 

• A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 12 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience in an internationally recognized jurisdiction, with excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
• Solid experience in corporate finance work, particularly on regulatory compliance work in respect of the Hong Kong Listing Rules; strong commercial and corporate experience gained in an international law firm or corporate is essential.
• Commercially-minded, practical, responsive and focused on problem-solving, with proven success not only in identifying legal and regulatory risks, but in finding workable solutions to reduce risk to acceptable levels to enable the business to operate efficiently and intelligently.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese).  Mandarin is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, people oriented, self-driven and able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.  Ability to engage with other business units and stakeholder across the Group is important.
• Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, mature attitude and able to multi-tasks.
