About the role

We are looking for a professional, positive Head Bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. The Head Bartender will have extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktail and menu creation, and professional bartending technique. You will be responsible for training and maintaining service levels of all bar staff, managing stock levels, ordering products, and monthly inventory control. Providing staff with systems and standard operating procedures, as well as driving, upselling, and increasing bar sales.

To succeed as Head Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. Provide and maintain a positive working environment for your team by instilling transparent and open communication at all times.

 

Head Bartender Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring your bar team follows service protocols at all times.
  • Provide effective training to the bar team regularly.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Ensure bar stock information is updated regularly and communicated to the bar team, front support staff and company management.
  • Update the POS system to reflect stock items and any price changes.
  • Provide a monthly inventory report on time.
  • Consult with the Events Manager on any upcoming events, cocktail specifications, and preferences.
  • Provide Custom cocktail menus to any special events if necessary.
  • Updated cocktail menus in relation to stock, pricing and new additions or revisions.
  • Ensure the standards of content are met in regard to cocktails, global brand recognition, sufficient price level options and presentation of drinks and garnishes.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries, including container imports and warehouse stock as needed.

Bartender Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience, with advanced cocktail knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Time management and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prioritize tasks and delegate them to your team as necessary.
  • Ability to function in a high paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Basic computer and math skills, and Microsoft office proficiency.
  • Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.

Salary : minimum $9 per hour + Grats and side tips.
