Sette, located within JA The Resort, is seeking a visionary Head Chef with strong expertise in authentic Italian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for bold flavors, regional traditions, and proven experience leading high-performing kitchen teams.

This role is responsible for leading the culinary direction, managing kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional dining experiences aligned with Sette’s Italian concept.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall kitchen operation and culinary strategy in line with the restaurant concept

  • Develop, refine, and execute authentic Italian menus with seasonal creativity

  • Create and implement a pizza menu reflecting traditional techniques and innovation

  • Oversee food preparation, quality, presentation, and consistency

  • Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste control

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and HACCP standards

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team

  • Provide training, coaching, and performance support

  • Plan schedules and manage team responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive, professional, and high-performance culture

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, including pasta, sauces, pizza, meats, seafood, and desserts

  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a senior kitchen leadership role (Head Chef or similar)

  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Passion for quality, consistency, and guest experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary diploma or formal training

  • Italian nationality preferred

  • Experience in Italian restaurants, trattorias, or upscale hospitality environments

  • Expertise in handmade pasta and pizza production

Experience

Minimum 4–5 years in a similar senior culinary leadership role

Cuisine Expertise

Strong knowledge of Italian regional cuisine, ingredients, and techniques
