<p>You will join Wakam’s <strong>Advanced Pricing Analytics Center of Excellence</strong>, within the <strong>Underwriting Office</strong> a strategic function at the heart of Wakam’s profitable growth ambition.</p>
<p>This is a pivotal moment for the team: we are strengthening and rebuilding our pricing analytics capabilities to better support underwriting performance, portfolio steering, and technical excellence across Europe. The team is expected to become a true <strong>center of expertise and influence</strong>, helping Wakam make sharper, faster, and more data-driven decisions across its lines of business.</p>
<p>Working closely with <strong>Line of Business Heads</strong>, <strong>Actuarial</strong>, <strong>Data</strong>, <strong>Underwriting</strong>, and <strong>Partner-facing teams</strong>, you will play a significant role in shaping how pricing analytics supports Wakam’s underwriting strategy, governance, and long-term profitability.</p>

<p>We are looking for a senior pricing practitioner to take a leading role in Wakam’s pricing community, with a strong focus on the <strong>European business</strong> and potential additional support to the <strong>UK</strong>.</p>
<p>This is not only a technical role. It is an opportunity to be a <strong>key player in the transformation of the Underwriting Office</strong>, bringing structure, expertise, and momentum to a critical area of the business.</p>
<p>You will help rebuild and elevate the pricing analytics framework, support pricing leaders across multiple markets, and embed stronger technical standards, governance, and performance monitoring. Your work will directly influence underwriting decisions, portfolio profitability, and the way Wakam scales its pricing capabilities.</p>

<h2><strong>✏️ Your Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<p><strong>Pricing Analytics Leadership</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You will lead the development, validation, and ongoing governance of <strong>GLMs</strong> across the European portfolio, ensuring models are technically robust, well documented, and fit for both regulatory and commercial purposes.</li>
<li>You will help set the standard for pricing analytics excellence across Wakam, bringing consistency, discipline, and best practices to the way models are built, monitored, used, and challenged.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Portfolio Steering & Technical Price Monitoring</strong></p>
<p>You will leverage GLM outputs to drive a disciplined <strong>Actual vs Technical Price</strong> monitoring framework as a core analytical activity.</p>
<p> This will be complemented by broader pricing techniques, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>conversion modelling</li>
<li>demand and price elasticity modelling</li>
<li>retention modelling</li>
<li>price optimisation</li>
</ul>
<p>Your goal will be to turn technical pricing outputs into clear portfolio decisions, helping Wakam identify performance gaps, prioritise corrective actions, and improve profitability.</p>
<p><strong>Reporting, Dashboards & Executive Insights</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You will translate pricing model insights into clear, impactful performance reporting and dashboards for senior stakeholders.</li>
<li>You will provide actionable underwriting and pricing recommendations, anchored in technical analysis but communicated in a way that supports business decision-making at senior level.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>AKUR8 Technical Ownership</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You will act as the primary technical authority for Wakam’s <strong>AKUR8</strong> environment, supporting its effective use across markets and ensuring strong modelling practices, governance, documentation, and consistency.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Pricing Governance & Best Practices</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You will establish and embed pricing governance frameworks and best-practice standards across European markets, particularly <strong>France, Spain, and Italy</strong>, with UK support as required.</li>
<li>You will help create a more structured and scalable pricing operating model, making sure Wakam’s pricing standards are clear, understood, and applied consistently.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Community Building & Mentoring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You will work closely with <strong>Line of Business Heads</strong> on pricing strategy and portfolio performance, while providing technical support and mentoring to <strong>LOB Pricing Leads</strong>.</li>
</ul>
<p>A key part of the role will be to help rebuild and energise Wakam’s pricing community: sharing expertise, raising technical standards, and helping teams grow in confidence and capability.</p>
<p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>You will collaborate with <strong>Actuarial, Data, Underwriting, and Partner-facing teams</strong> across the organisation, ensuring that pricing analytics is fully connected to business priorities, partner performance, and underwriting strategy.</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>🧠 What You Bring</strong></h2>
<p>You bring deep technical pricing expertise and the confidence to operate as a senior advisor and community leader.</p>
<p>You have:</p>
<ul>
<li>Extensive hands-on experience in <strong>GLM development, deployment, validation, and governance</strong></li>
<li>Strong technical pricing expertise, with the ability to translate modelling outputs into concrete portfolio management decisions</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with <strong>AKUR8</strong> preferred; experience with comparable pricing platforms will also be considered</li>
<li>Knowledge of <strong>AI and machine learning techniques</strong> applied to insurance pricing</li>
<li>A strong <strong>Motor insurance</strong> background across commercial and personal lines</li>
<li>Property experience, particularly SME commercial and personal lines, would be advantageous</li>
<li>Experience across other lines such as <strong>Accident & Health, Travel, and/or Extended Warranty</strong> would be a plus</li>
<li>Deep experience in at least one of the following European markets: <strong>France, Spain, or Italy</strong></li>
<li>Experience across more than one of these markets is strongly preferred</li>
<li>UK market experience is a distinct advantage</li>
<li>A proven track record of using technical pricing outputs to influence pricing, underwriting, and portfolio steering decisions</li>
<li>Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders</li>
