<h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3>
<p>We’re looking for a <strong>Head of Advisory</strong> to own and scale Realm’s customer-facing advisory function at the intersection of AI, operations, and the physical world of home renovation.</p>
<p>This role is for a <strong>full-stack go-to-market operator</strong> — equally strong in customer psychology, systems design, data, and product feedback loops, with a bias toward hands-on execution. You will lead Realm’s front-line revenue team, owning how homeowners move from first conversation to confident commitment, while leveraging AI to scale judgment, consistency, and throughput across the funnel.</p>
<p>You are not just managing a team. You are <strong>building the operating system</strong> for how humans and AI work together to deliver trust, clarity, and conversion in a messy, real-world category.</p>
<p>This role <strong>reports directly to the CEO</strong>, is a <strong>core member of Realm’s leadership team</strong>, and carries real ownership over a <strong>profitable, growing business</strong> with clear line of sight to significant scale.</p>
<p>This is a full-time, Los Angeles-based hybrid role (3–4 days in office depending on location).</p>
<h3><strong>The Job to Be Done</strong></h3>
<p>Your core mandate is to <strong>scale the current ~8-person advisory team and ~$10M/year revenue business into a $30M+ annual engine within 2 years</strong>, while improving quality, efficiency, and margin along the way.</p>
<p>This requires:</p>

<li>Turning today’s best practices into repeatable, scalable systems<br><br></li>

We guide homeowners through the most complex parts of pre-construction — scope, pricing, timelines, permitting, and financing — then match them with high-quality contractors and support them through execution.</p>
<p>Founded in 2019, Realm is building a category-defining platform that blends real-world expertise with AI-powered tooling to transform a historically opaque and fragmented industry. Our small but mighty team is based primarily in Los Angeles (Marina del Rey).</p>
<h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Own and Scale the Advisory Business</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own P&L-level outcomes for the advisory function, including conversion, revenue, efficiency, and customer experience.<br><br></li>
<li>Scale the advisory organization from ~8 advisors and ~$10M in annual revenue to $30M+ without sacrificing trust or quality.<br><br></li>
<li>Design org structure, capacity models, and performance systems that support durable, non-linear growth.<br><br></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Operate at the Intersection of Humans + AI</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Redesign workflows so AI handles repeatable, judgment-heavy work — freeing advisors to focus on orchestration, empathy, and edge cases.<br><br></li>
<li>Partner closely with Product, Data, and Engineering to shape AI tools using real customer and advisor feedback.<br><br></li>
<li>Continuously evaluate what should be automated, augmented, or eliminated.<br><br></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Be a Swiss Army Knife Operator</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Move fluidly between strategy, systems design, execution, and frontline problem-solving.<br><br></li>
<li>Diagnose breakdowns across people, process, tooling, and incentives — and fix them fast.<br><br></li>
<li>Build scalable systems while remaining willing to dive in personally when reality demands it.<br><br></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Build, Coach, and Raise the Bar</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Hire, develop, and retain elite advisory talent.<br><br></li>
<li>Set clear goals, metrics, and accountability tied directly to business outcomes.<br><br></li>
<li>Create a high-performance culture grounded in ownership, clarity, and customer obsession.<br><br></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Be the Voice of the Customer</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Translate frontline insights into product, pricing, and policy improvements.<br><br></li>
<li>Identify recurring friction points and turn them into durable competitive advantages.<br><br></li>
<li>Help Realm earn trust at scale in one of the most emotionally and financially complex consumer categories.<br><br></li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>What You’ll Need</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>6-10+ years of experience in operations, consulting, marketplaces, fintech, proptech, or other complex customer-facing businesses.<br><br></li>
<li>Proven experience owning and scaling a <strong>revenue-generating, customer-facing team</strong>.<br><br></li>
<li>Comfort owning ambiguous, multi-variable problems with real financial consequences.<br><br></li>
<li><strong>Strong systems thinker</strong> who naturally connects people, process, data, and product.<br><br></li>
<li>Deep obsession with funnels, throughput, and unit economics.</li>
<li>High fluency with AI tools and excitement about redesigning work around them.<br><br></li>
<li>Exceptional communication, judgment, and prioritization skills.<br><br></li>
<li>Bias toward action, ownership, and measurable outcomes.<br><br></li>
<li>Based in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles, CA.<br><br></li>
</ul>
