Head of Distribution

The Head of Distribution will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth across all distribution channels. The successful candidate will translate corporate strategy into actionable distribution plans, ensuring products reach the target audience efficiently and cost-effectively, while enhancing overall industry relationships and customer experience.

 

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute distribution strategies to drive revenue growth across multiple customer segments.
  • Identify and manage strategic partnerships to support business growth and channel diversification.
  • Lead and optimise traditional and digital distribution channels to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Manage and develop distribution teams, setting KPIs and driving high performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Underwriting, Finance, IT, CX and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Analyse sales performance, profitability, market trends and channel effectiveness to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strengthen relationships with key clients, brokers, agents and business partners.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and customer experience expectations.
  • Report on distribution performance, growth initiatives and profitability to senior leadership and the Board.



Requirements

 

  • 10+ years' experience in insurance distribution, sales leadership, business development or commercial strategy.
  • Proven success in managing revenue growth and multi-channel distribution strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance, profitability and market opportunities.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles and insurance economics is advantageous.
  • Customer-focused, innovative and resilient, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
