About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Engineering to join our fast-growing e-commerce startup.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a senior engineering professional who can successfully lead an engineering team while also owning product roadmap planning and execution.

You're excited about the role because you will...

• Own and drive the product and engineering roadmap from planning through execution.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team, ensuring accountability, productivity, and high performance.

• Act as the primary liaison between the CEO/Founder, Product Designer, and Engineering team.

• Translate business goals into clear product and engineering priorities.

• Oversee project timelines, sprint planning, resource allocation, and delivery milestones.

• Drive product decisions and help shape the overall product strategy.

• Ensure engineering best practices, code quality, scalability, and technical excellence.

• Take ownership of project outcomes and proactively identify risks and solutions.

• Contribute to coding, architecture, and technical implementation when required.

• Foster a culture of accountability, communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• You have 10+ years of software engineering experience.

• You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Extensive experience managing and leading engineering teams in a senior leadership capacity.

• Proven experience owning product roadmaps, project planning, and cross-functional execution.

• Strong background in startup and/or fast-paced e-commerce environments.

• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical work.

• Highly organized, accountable, and committed to meeting deadlines.

• Strong product mindset with the ability to prioritize features based on business impact.

• Experience working closely with CEOS, founders, designers, and engineering teams.

• You are self-motivated and passionate about building relationships and growing a business.

• You thrive to work in a collaborative environment that involves continual adaptation and change.
