Our client is an innovative technology company building AI-powered solutions for Shopify brands. Their platform helps marketing teams plan and execute smarter cross-channel campaigns by combining merchandising, inventory, and marketing intelligence into a unified operating system. As the company enters a critical growth stage, they are seeking a Head of Growth Marketing to build and lead the go-to-market engine, establish category leadership, and drive demand generation within the Shopify and ecommerce ecosystem.
Role Overview
The Head of Growth Marketing will be responsible for building and executing the company’s go-to-market strategy, demand generation engine, ecosystem partnerships, founder-led marketing initiatives, and AI-enabled growth systems. The Head of Growth Marketing will work directly with the founder and leadership team to develop positioning, messaging, inbound programs, ecosystem relationships, and scalable acquisition channels while leveraging AI-powered workflows to maximize efficiency. This role is ideal for a strategic and execution-oriented marketer who thrives in early-stage environments, understands the Shopify ecosystem, and enjoys building repeatable growth systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
GTM Strategy & Market Positioning
Build and execute the company’s go-to-market strategy.
Develop positioning, messaging, and category narratives.
Partner with leadership to refine market positioning based on customer and market feedback.
Participate in customer conversations and sales discussions to identify opportunities for messaging improvements.
Support category creation and market awareness initiatives.
Develop strategies that increase visibility and demand within the Shopify ecosystem.
Demand Generation & Ecosystem Development
Build inbound marketing programs that generate qualified demand.
Develop lead generation initiatives, benchmark content, and community-driven growth programs.
Establish and maintain relationships with Shopify ecosystem partners, influencers, agencies, and operators.
Support partner ecosystem growth through strategic collaborations.
Turn customer successes into case studies, testimonials, and market-facing proof points.
Build programs that drive awareness, credibility, and pipeline growth.
Founder-Led Marketing & Thought Leadership
Amplify founder-led content and thought leadership initiatives.
Support content distribution across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant channels.
Strengthen executive visibility within the ecommerce and Shopify communities.
Develop content strategies that reinforce positioning and category leadership.
Support storytelling initiatives that drive awareness and trust.
AI-Native Growth Operations
Leverage AI-enabled workflows to support outbound prospecting, enrichment, lead qualification, and campaign execution.
Design automated systems that improve marketing efficiency and scalability.
Build growth experiments across acquisition, activation, and demand generation initiatives.
Develop reporting, attribution, and measurement frameworks.
Utilize AI tools to improve marketing execution and operational efficiency.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools and growth opportunities.
Marketing Infrastructure & Process Development
Establish scalable marketing systems and operational processes.
Create a centralized source of truth for accounts, pipeline, and marketing performance.
Implement tooling that supports enrichment, reporting, and marketing intelligence.
Coordinate freelancers, contractors, and AI-assisted resources.
Ensure marketing operations support long-term scalability.
Qualifications Experience
5+ years of experience in B2B marketing.
Experience marketing to Shopify brands, ecommerce businesses, or related technology markets.
Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
Experience leading product launches, category launches, or major market initiatives.
Experience building demand generation programs and inbound marketing systems.
Experience developing ecosystem partnerships, influencer relationships, or agency networks.
Experience leveraging AI tools to support marketing execution, automation, or workflow development.
Experience supporting founder-led marketing or executive thought leadership initiatives.
Experience managing growth programs within startup, SaaS, or technology environments.
Experience developing reporting, attribution, and performance measurement systems.
