Head of MFL or Aspiring Leader Sought for Prestigious Catholic Secondary School

Croydon, South London | Permanent, Full-Time

Our esteemed client, a high-achieving Catholic secondary school in Croydon, South London, is seeking an exceptional Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to join their dynamic team this September. This is a unique opportunity for either an experienced Head of Department or an ambitious MFL teacher eager to step into a leadership role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a thriving MFL department, fostering a passion for languages in students and staff alike.
  • Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it is innovative, engaging, and aligned with the school's Catholic ethos.
  • Manage and mentor a team of dedicated MFL teachers, promoting their professional growth and development.
  • Monitor student progress and implement effective strategies to ensure high academic standards.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with parents, providing regular feedback and fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Proven track record of excellence in teaching MFL at the secondary level
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Deep understanding of the Catholic faith and its educational principles (desired)
