Head Section of Costing (Manufacturing)

Job Purpose:

Manage costing activities to ensure accurate product costing, cost control, and profitability analysis within a manufacturing environment.

Reporting Line:

Reports to: Head Finance - Technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product costing (standard & actual costing) processes.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
• Ensure accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing.
• Monitor inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Support pricing decisions and margin analysis.
• Partner with production teams to improve cost efficiency.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
• Ensure proper cost allocation methods.
• Provide reports on plant performance and cost drivers.
• Support budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing costs.

 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance.
• 8+ years of experience in costing within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP CO module preferred).
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Good understanding of production processes.
• High attention to detail and strong business partnering skills.
