About the role
The Head of Strategy Management is a managerial role responsible for leading the bank’s short-term and long-term planning and performance monitoring. The role turns executive vision into actionable plans and ensures departments meet their targets through rigorous monitoring and evaluation.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Ensuring strategic planning and development vision alignment through:
- Leading the creation of the bank’s business strategy, model, and plan that aligns with the bank’s mission.
- Coordinating the development of annual performance plans across all departments to ensure consistent execution of the bank’s core strategy.
- Developing, reviewing and initiating internal strategy tools, operational procedures, and standards to facilitate the implementation and alignment of the strategy.
- Working with strategic teams to ensure the alignment of bank-wide budget and long-term financial strategies support sustainability.
- Leading the monitoring, evaluation and learning performance metrics in strategy:
- Establishing quantifiable performance indicators (KPIs) and quality assurance strategies to measure progress against bank wide developmental goals.
- Overseeing the preparation of strategy specific periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) reports on performance against targets for the executive management and board.
- Facilitate the Identification of strategic risks and consolidating contingency plans to mitigate potential threats to objectives.
- Offering stakeholder and leadership executive support:
- Supporting the Governor in translating strategic vision into actionable daily operations.
- Coordinating and maintain networks with international and domestic stakeholders to enhance collaboration.
- Managing the Strategy division, including staff appraisals and capacity building, to promote technical proficiency.
- Coordinating and facilitating strategy training and development for the entire bank

- A master’s degree in any of the following: social sciences, Economics, Strategic Management, or other related fields
- Training and courses in strategy management will be an added advantage.

- Seven (7) years of experience in any one of the following: organizational strategy management role, managerial or strategic role
- Experience in a strategy area of expertise will be an added advantage
