As part of the Complex Payment Solutions team, you will, as a Health Information Technician, you will be on the front lines of this mission supporting the secure and timely collection of health records, ensuring data accuracy, and providing exceptional service to providers and partners. You’ll work in a collaborative environment, leveraging technology platforms to streamline processes and contribute to the team’s performance goals.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>What you’ll do </strong></p> <ul> <li>Retrieve medical records through outbound provider calls, portals, fax, and email.</li> <li>Accurately document call outcomes, follow-up activities, and record statuses within system platforms.</li> <li>Support call center workflows by contacting providers, verifying information, and managing escalations to ensure timely retrieval.</li> <li>Perform data entry and tracking of medical record documentation in compliance with HIPAA and internal standards.</li> <li>Use EMR systems, internal databases, and vendor tools to monitor record status and ensure record completeness.</li> <li>Escalate delays, provider refusals, or system issues to leadership or appropriate departments.</li> <li>Assist in maintaining SOPs, documentation logs, and operational checklists.</li> <li>Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system feedback efforts as directed.</li> <li>Ensure records are properly categorized and attached to the correct case/claim.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, Client Services, and Quality Assurance to troubleshoot issues.</li> <li>Maintain professional communication with provider offices and internal teams.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What experience you bring (Role Requirements)</strong></p> <ul> <li>1-3 years of experience in healthcare, medical records, or call center environment.</li> <li>Deep understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, and medical record workflows.</li> <li>Working knowledge in healthcare technology platforms and reporting tools (e.g., EMRs, call center software, Excel).</li> <li>Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to identify issues in real time and follow through with solutions or appropriate escalation.</li> <li>Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Pay range:</strong> $22.00 USD&nbsp;per hour.
