About the role

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 34,000 people, in over 30 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Role description:

This role provides focused Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) support for a designated region or country, ensuring operational needs are met with consistency and reliability. It delivers remote, process‑driven guidance to internal stakeholders, maintaining high standards of administrative accuracy and data management across all HSW systems. By overseeing critical workflows and documentation, the position ensures smooth coordination, standardized practices, and efficient execution of HSW processes. Ultimately, this role contributes to a cohesive, compliant, and well‑governed HSW function that enables safe and effective operations across the region.

Role accountabilities:

The role involves translating non-native language documents to ensure suitability for national use. A key responsibility is maintaining controlled documents and Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) records, including policies, registers, incident logs, and training records. The position requires effective management of document flows among Arcadis Global, customers, subcontractors, and external providers.

Additionally, the role includes controlling personal protective equipment (PPE), harness records, and site-access documentation. Collecting data and producing HSW reports, dashboards, and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are essential, with strict attention to DE/EU data compliance. Tracking mandatory training and certifications, as well as managing Cority sustainment, is also required.

The position entails following up on audit findings and coordinating audits and inspections. It supports compliance monitoring, legal requirement reviews, and basic Health and Safety Action Plan (HASP) reviews. Conducting control testing and self-assessments is part of ongoing quality assurance. Drafting meeting minutes and preparing materials for HSW communications, awareness campaigns, and e-learning are also central tasks.

Supporting local HSW initiatives, events, and campaigns is an important aspect, as is generating intranet pages, HSW Shares, and related content. The role involves controlling and registering training required for workers, both internal and external, as well as monitoring and recording external training activities. Managing medical examination appointments and providing first-line support for HSW systems and platforms—escalating complex queries when necessary—are key responsibilities.

The position also supports the introduction and testing of new software solutions and manages client platforms. Responsibilities extend to purchasing and delivering PPE and work clothing, as well as conducting other simple, local administrative health and safety tasks. Collaboration with regional and in-country HSW managers is crucial for policy and project implementation, and working with IT and technical teams is necessary for system troubleshooting and enhancements.

Finally, the role supports the HSW Global office in implementing continuous improvement goals, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives and fostering a culture of safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Experience:

Key Qualifications and Professional Certifications

·Bachelor’s Degree or Professional certifications in Health Safety Wellbeing (Preferred) Key Competencies

· 2+ years of experience in HSW or similar compliance roles
