About the role
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on PB Loader equipment and
related truck systems using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Perform routine maintenance services, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections on company and
customer vehicles and equipment.
Disassemble and inspect components for wear, damage, or failure; perform necessary repairs or
replacements including basic welding, metal fabrication, and electrical assembly tasks as required.
Review work orders, document repairs performed, and maintain accurate service records including parts
usage, labor hours, and repair logs.
Estimate labor hours and parts required for repairs and provide input to the Parts & Service Manager for
quoting and service planning.
Travel to customer locations to perform field service, equipment diagnostics, and repairs as needed.
Communicate with customers to obtain descriptions of equipment issues, explain repair work being
performed, and provide follow-up support or operational guidance.
Provide customer training on the safe and proper operation and maintenance of PB Loader equipment.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition while complying with
all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely completion of service and repair
work.
Participate in safety meetings and training programs and recommend improvements to enhance service
efficiency, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Perform additional maintenance, repair, and operational support duties as directed by management.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience servicing heavy equipment, trucks, or related mechanical systems,
including experience working with hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel-powered equipment.
ASE or equivalent technical certification preferred.
Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair
complex equipment issues.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, technical manuals, and schematics.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers
and team members.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively in both shop and field service environments.
