                                               HESS Recreational Water Facilities Attendant/Pool Attendant


Job Summary

The position of the RWFA shall report directly to the HESS Supervisor/Assistant Manager. The post's creation serves to assist the HESS department in achieving GTCC commitments, outlined through the implementation of its Policies and Procedures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of both the swimming pool and all fountains in the property (Taxi Stand, Margaritaville & Dufry). Proper vacuuming, brush, sweeping, tile cleaning, clearing trash from the pool deck.
  • Report any public incident to HESS Supervisor or Technicians, e.g vomit, blood or fecal incident on ship call days.
  • Assist the Technicians in the event of PDI/PVI, if needed.
  • Ensure all pool cleaning supplies & equipments required are promptly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Ensure punctuality and complete work assignments on time.  Under the direction of the Asst. Manager/Supervisor, ensure that provisions are made for the acquisition of the requisite supplies and proper use for the assigned tasks.
  • Ensuring all work communication equipment including radios are returned & signed out after the assigned work shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Asst. Manager/Supervisor


Language Requirements

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with employees and guests
  • Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, managers and co-workers.


Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • All island employees must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency.
