About the role
Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced HGV Excavator Driver to join our construction and logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators to carry out digging, trenching, and earthmoving tasks, as well as driving heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to transport machinery and materials to various sites. This role requires a skilled operator with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently to carry out earthmoving, digging, and site preparation tasks.
- Drive HGV vehicles to transport excavators, materials, and equipment between sites.
- Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks on equipment and vehicles.
- Follow site instructions, plans, and safety regulations during operations.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked, trips made, and maintenance activities.
- Report any equipment faults or safety issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid HGV driving license with relevant endorsements.
- Proven experience operating excavators and driving HGV vehicles.
- Understanding of excavation techniques and site safety procedures.
- Ability to conduct routine equipment maintenance and safety inspections.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to following safety standards.
- Willingness to travel to multiple job sites as required.
