About the role
Aureol Global Connections is seeking a qualified HGV Mechanic to join our team, responsible for servicing and repairing heavy goods vehicles to ensure their reliability and safety on the road. This role requires hands-on expertise and a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance, ensuring that all HGVs are maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose issues with HGV components and systems.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance, including engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Keep detailed records of services and repairs performed.
- Follow all health and safety procedures strictly during repair and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest industry standards and vehicle technologies.
Requirements
- Relevant certifications or apprenticeship qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics.
- Experience working as an HGV Mechanic or similar role.
- Competence in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in HGVs.
- Proficient use of diagnostic tools and equipment for heavy vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and professional attitude.
- Valid driving license suitable for HGV work and any industry-specific certifications.
