This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025.

The Role:

  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver inspiring Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, catering to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Promote Curiosity: Foster a love of Geography and encourage students to explore the world around them with curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of a dynamic and engaging Geography curriculum.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Effectively assess student learning, provide constructive feedback, and track progress.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Geography department and across the school to enhance teaching and learning.

The Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine passion for Geography education.
  • Subject Knowledge: Possess a strong command of geographical concepts and an ability to convey this knowledge effectively to students.
  • Teaching Excellence: Employ a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to Inclusion: Demonstrate a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
