HK- Shipping Officer

Shipping Officer – Hong Kong Office

Role & Responsibilities:-

In this role, you will report to the Logistics Manager and you will be responsible for dealing with logistics of the Hong Kong division: imports, exports and intercompany transfer. Amongst others, you:

• Handle the order flow from end to end, sea and road transports.
• Handle Purchase and Sales Orders creation and issue billings in system.
• Responsible for issuance and/or check of transport and cargo documents.
• Coordinate with shipping agents and freight carriers for freight rate checking, booking and handling of shipments.
• Handle and plan transport of goods, perform benchmarks of commonly used routes.
• Are in direct contact with international customers, suppliers and carriers.
• Perform shipment data entry, monitor delivery date and handle daily system update timely and accurately.
• Manage inventory: control and update of inventory positions for bonded and cleared warehouses, intercompany stocks movement and reconciliation of stock balances with warehouses.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements: -

• Degree holder preferably in Logistics/Transportation Management with at least 6 years solid experience in order processing.
• Experience in handling hazardous materials is preferred.
• Good operational logistics skills in ground, sea, and air transport of cargo.
• Good knowledge in shipping documentations, forwarder and supplier’s management.
• Experience in planning offshore shipments with good tactical skills in controlling the works are done by overseas counterparties.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, advance Excel skill.
