<h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Overview</h2> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <p><strong>Otterbein Hospice</strong> located in Bellefontaine Ohio is seeking a <strong>Part-Time</strong>&nbsp;<strong>Chaplain.&nbsp; </strong>The role of the Chaplain is to provide pastoral care and counseling for the Elders to ensure their spiritual well-being.</p> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> </div> </div> </div> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li>Assist with the administration and direction of programs to maintain the highest quality of spiritual services</li> <li>Provide spiritual assessment, counseling and support to clients, families and others</li> <li>Participate in preparation, implementation and evaluation of the interdisciplinary care plan and conduct assessments in coordination with the interdisciplinary care team</li> <li>Interview clients/families as necessary and in a private meeting</li> <li>Provide non-judgmental spiritual care that honors the spiritual needs of the client/family/other</li> <li>Maintain client care information to assure client rights are protected and coordinate services with other departments</li> <li>Facilitate and arrange for visits with community clergy&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform memorial and funeral services as requested</li> <li>Complete all medical record, whether written or electronically, in a timely manner and in accordance with federal, state and Organization guidelines, policies and procedures</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of diverse religious, cultural and spiritual values/customs pertaining to illness, death and grieving</li> <li>Assist in providing support to associates/volunteers in coping with job-related stress</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">Qualifications</h2> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and Ordained Minister</li> <li>Certificate in spiritual companioning</li> <li>Clinical pastoral education experience or prior experience in chaplaincy or pastoral care</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Knowledge of the spiritual issues related to illness, death and grieving</li> <li>Experience in health care preferred</li> <li>1 year experience as a Hospice Chaplain or equivalent Hospital Chaplain experience</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <p>Apply today and begin a meaningful career as a <strong>Chaplain&nbsp;</strong>at Otterbein!</p> </div> </div> </div>
