About the Role:

• Create a Nurturing Environment: Provide a safe, supervised, and nurturing setting in your home where independence and skill-building are encouraged.
• Personalized Support: Tailor your support to meet the unique needs of an individual, including medical care, daily living activities, and community engagement.
• Community Connection: Enhance both their life and yours by helping them connect with their community, build relationships, and participate in activities that bring joy and purpose.
  

Expected Outcomes:

• Within 15 Days
  • Establish a foundational relationship with the participant (adult w/disabilities).
  • Learn participant’s routines, including medical appointments and hygiene habits.
• Within 30 Days
  • Gain an understanding of participant’s goals and begin to implement activities to help them achieve those goals.
  • Display comfort in providing behavioral interventions.
• Within 45 Days:
  • Communicate progress and needs with regular cadence to service managers, medical providers, and family members.

Need to Have:

• Prior experience in caregiving or similar roles is preferred.
• Willingness to complete and meet the requirements of all required Stepping Stone training.
• Comfortability supporting necessary aspects of personal care (e.g., bathroom use).
• Good sense of humor, patience, strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to provide consistent and structured support.
• Residency in Jefferson County, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, or SW Denver.
• Physical ability to assist individuals with activities of daily living including mobility, transfers, and personal care. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform bending, kneeling, reaching, and other physical tasks necessary to support individuals safely in the home and community.
• Physical ability to perform CPR on the ground.

Physical Requirements:

• Assist with activities of daily living
• Support mobility and transfers
• Assist with personal care
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Perform bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Support evacuations and safety procedures
• Maintain CPR certification and be able to perform CPR on the ground
• Be physically able to respond quickly in emergency situations

Nice to Have:

• Experience with behavioral interventions and community-based activities.
• Innovative ideas for engaging activities and schedules.

Location:

•  Jefferson County, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, or SW Denver, CO 

Schedule:

• The individual will be living in your home, so you will be responsible for providing or coordinating their care at all times.

Compensation:

• Daily rate compensation with the potential to earn $2,400 - $7,000 per month, tax-exempt income as an independent contractor.
• NOTE: Payment from SSSC is dependent upon (or fails to) complete the required paperwork needed for eligibility, resulting in SSSC not receiving necessary funds, SSSC will be unable to pay provider for services rendered.
