About the Role

Talarico for Texas is hiring an HR Manager to join James Talarico's US Senate campaign. This is a full-time, paid position ideal for a highly organized and people-oriented professional who enjoys building strong internal systems and team culture. The HR Manager will lead the campaign’s human resources operations and work closely with the Operations Director to cultivate a collaborative, and mission-driven workplace across the campaign.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and staff support
  • Manage staff records, internal human resource documentation, and personnel processes
  • Support hiring and recruitment logistics, including job postings, and candidate communication 
  • Serve as point of contact for staff inquires related to policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace concerns 
  • Maintain and communicate internal policies, procedures, and staff expectations 
  • Support compliance with campaign employment practices and reporting requirements
  • Build and maintain systems that improve human resource organization, communication, and operations across the campaign

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience in human resources, political campaigns, government offices, operations, or other relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with exceptional attention to detail 
  • Exhibits discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive political, personal, and confidential information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with nontraditional hours, reflecting the pace and demands of a statewide campaign
  • Commitment to the mission, values, and success of the Talarico for Texas campaign

Benefits

Reports to: Operations Director

Location: Austin, Texas 

Salary: $6,000 - $7,000 per month

Benefits: Health care, paid time off, sick leave
