About the role
<h3 class="text-text-100 mt-3 -mb-1 text-[1.125rem] font-bold">Human Resources Coordinator</h3>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>Health Link Home Health and Hospice</strong> | San Francisco, CA</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>On-site</strong> · Full-time · $30–$35/hour DOE</p>
<h4 class="text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold">Who we are</h4>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">For more than two decades, Health Link has delivered compassionate home health and hospice care to families across the Bay Area. Our work is personal — we show up for patients during some of the most meaningful chapters of their lives. The people who do that work deserve to feel just as supported as the patients they serve, and that's exactly what this role is about.</p>
<h4 class="text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold">Why this role exists</h4>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">We're looking for an HR Coordinator who will genuinely take ownership of the employee experience at Health Link — someone our staff can turn to and trust, and someone who treats the regulatory rigor of home health as part of how we care for our people.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">Our clinicians and administrative teams pour themselves into caring for patients; they need an HR partner who pours that same energy back into them and who keeps the credentials, documentation, and compliance standards that protect them airtight in the process. In home health, sloppy paperwork isn't a clerical issue; it's a patient safety issue and a staff protection issue. We need someone who understands that and brings real care to both sides of the work.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">This isn't a role where you wait to be told what's needed. You'll see the gaps, ask the questions, and build the systems and relationships that make people feel supported <em>and</em> keep us audit-ready. If the idea of being the person staff can count on for the small things, the hard things, and the regulated things energizes you, keep reading.</p>
<h4 class="text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold">What you'll own</h4>

<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Recruiting</strong> — writing job posts, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and making sure every applicant has a respectful, responsive experience whether or not they're hired</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Onboarding and offboarding</strong> that actually feels human — new hires welcomed thoughtfully from day one, departing teammates supported through their last day</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Benefits and payroll</strong> — enrollments, leaves, retirement, and the inevitable paycheck questions — handled with accuracy, discretion, and follow-through</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Employee support</strong> — being the first, friendly stop for questions about policies, benefits, time off, or "I'm not sure who to ask about this"</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Records and HRIS data</strong> kept clean, current, confidential, and audit-ready</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Training and compliance</strong> coordination, including the certifications specific to home health and hospice</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Performance review cycles</strong> — documentation, tracking, and helping managers follow through</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>HR reporting and metrics</strong> that give leadership a real picture of how our people are doing</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2"><strong>Culture initiatives</strong> — recognition, team events, and the small touches that make people feel seen</li>
</ul>
<h4 class="text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold">Who we're looking for</h4>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">You'll thrive here if you're someone who:</p>
<ul class="[li_&]:mb-0 [li_&]:mt-1 [li_&]:gap-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3">
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Knows that thorough documentation and regulatory compliance are how we protect our staff and patients, not obstacles to the "real" work</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Has 1–3+ years of hands-on HR experience (healthcare or home health strongly preferred given the compliance demands of this role)</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Takes initiative — you don't wait for direction to spot what needs doing</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Holds confidentiality as a value, not just a rule</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Notices the details — wrong dates, missing signatures, expired credentials before they become problems</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Can switch gears comfortably between a nurse with a benefits question and a director who needs a comp analysis</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Is fluent in HRIS/payroll platforms, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Paylocity, BambooHR, or similar a plus)</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Understands California labor law and home health regulatory requirements well enough to spot a red flag</li>
</ul>
<h4 class="text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold">What we offer</h4>
<ul class="[li_&]:mb-0 [li_&]:mt-1 [li_&]:gap-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3">
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">$30–$35/hour, depending on experience</li>

<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">401(k) with company match</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Company-paid life insurance</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Real room to grow — we promote from within when we can</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">A team that takes the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously</li>
</ul>
<h4 class="text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold">A note on the on-site requirement</h4>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">This role is fully in person at our San Francisco office. So much of meaningful HR work — the hallway check-ins, the new-hire welcomes, the closed-door conversations — happens better face-to-face. The role is built around being present with the team you support.</p>
