Human Resources Generalist (Associate)

<p>Core One seeks a <strong>Human Resource Generalist - Associate </strong>who will be part&nbsp;of an energetic and motivated team that directly impacts the growth and success of our organization. The Human Resource Generalist has responsibility over the day-to-day activities within human resources.&nbsp; The position will interact daily with the Recruiting staff, Hiring Managers, Accounting, and Program Managers at the Company.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain day to day benefits administration and employee inquiries</li> <li>Oversee and execute new hire orientation, including onboarding logistics, and compliance tasks</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications</li> <li>Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff</li> <li>Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations</li> <li>Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.</li> <li>Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate</li> </ul> <p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field</li> <li>3-5 years of experience in HR</li> <li>Knowledgeable of the HR requirements for a mid-sized government contractor</li> <li>Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems &nbsp;</li> <li>Data-driven and detail oriented</li> <li>Must have excellent interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality</li> <li>Ability to work under tight timeframes and problem-solve</li> <li>Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team</li> <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance</li> </ul> <p><strong>DESIRED SKILLS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in government contracting</li> <li>Experience with Paylocity</li> <li>SHRM or HRCI certification</li> </ul> <p><br><strong><em>About Core One</em></strong>&nbsp;<br>Our mission is to be at the forefront of devising analytical, operational and technical solutions to our Nation's most complex national security challenges.&nbsp; In order to achieve our mission, Core One values people first and is comprised of outstanding professionals from the national security community.&nbsp; Because Core One is committed to seeking top talent, we offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
