About the role
- Install air conditioners and VRF system components, including indoor and outdoor units, piping, and ductless systems.
- Connect refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and control systems according to manufacturer specifications.
- Install thermostats, sensors, and control panels, ensuring proper operation.
- Handle copper piping, insulation, and sealing to achieve leak-free connections.
- Follow layout plans and site measurements to accurately position equipment.
- Perform system start-up, testing, and commissioning, checking pressures, airflow, and overall functionality.
- Test and adjust system settings for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot minor installation issues on-site and implement practical solutions.
- Assist in unloading, transporting, staging, and preparing equipment and materials safely.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized HVAC equipment safely and efficiently.
- Apply personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce all safety standards on-site.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas throughout installations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training to apprentices and junior installers.
- Lead and coordinate installation activities to ensure efficiency and high-quality workmanship.
- Communicate project progress, issues, or delays to supervisors and project managers.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and preparing materials and equipment for installations as required.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.
- Demonstrate a reliable, professional, and team-oriented work ethic at all times.
