About the role
The Hydraulic Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems and equipment. The role ensures systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Education:
- Technical Diploma or Vocational Certification in Hydraulics, Mechanical, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in industrial, oil & gas, or construction environments
Technical Knowledge:
- Hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and actuators
- Hydraulic power units (HPU)
- Hydraulic systems used in heavy equipment and industrial plants
- Pressure testing, flushing, and system commissioning
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics, drawings, and manuals
Safety & Standards:
- Knowledge of hydraulic safety practices and safe work procedures
- Familiarity with industrial HSE requirements and permit-to-work systems
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems and components
- Troubleshoot system faults and perform corrective actions
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance activities
- Support construction and shutdown activities as required
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Complete maintenance and service documentation
